Our Lessons

We offer several levels of learning

All classes are customized and tailored to the needs of the students.

At the Beginner Level:

  • If hearing improves, pronunciation will improve; if pronunciation improves, hearing will improve.  With this concept as a base, we use a wide range of techniques to focus first on (a) natural pronunciation and (b) how native English speakers understand spoken English even when there are many confusing pronunciation changes.
  • We review all the basic grammatical patterns and make certain that students understand well how to use nouns and verbs.
  • We focus on using the language in a wide range of situations, such as introductions, telephone conversations, sales, requesting or offering services, and beginning and ending a conversation.

At the Intermediate & Advanced Levels:

  • With regard to students whose English is already quite good, but who have been dissatisfied with other methods of study and frustrated with a sense of lack of progress, we have particular expertise in taking them to the highest level of speaking, hearing and understanding native speech so that they can confidently participate in international conferences, negotiations, presentations and Q&A.
  • All classes are customized and tailored to the needs of the students.
  • We expose students to the natural English of video materials. We offer our students a wide range of interesting programs and topics – the class becomes a window on the world and English becomes a tool for learning.
  • Our students read and report on newspaper and magazine articles and other media resources chosen by students based on their personal interests, give presentations, and role-play real life situations.
  • Our students receive valuable training in how to succeed on standardized exams such as the TOEIC and TOEFL.
  • Above all we prepare our students to conduct a wide range of social and business activities in a creative, flexible way.

Group lessons:

  • A class generally consists of 6-10 persons.  For best results we recommend two 2-hour classes per week (4 hours per week total), though other schedules are possible.

Individual classes:

  • For many years we have been providing effective and highly evaluated private classes for specialists/professionals (university professors, doctors, lawyers, consultants).  A wide variety of study materials are chosen according to the student’s needs in order to provide an international perspective and enhanced ability to communicate about his or her field.
